Young Soo Jo joined LACCM in 1999 as an attorney in the benefits unit, handling welfare matters, consumer and disability rights issues, and MassHealth cases. In 2002 Young Soo received LACCM's Advocate of the Year award at the Worcester County Bar Association's Equal Justice reception. In 2005, he was appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court to the statewide Access to Justice Commission, created to improve the delivery of legal services to low-income communities in Massachusetts. Young Soo was reappointed to the Access to Justice Commission for a three-year term in 2006. Young Soo has conducted trainings in benefits advocacy and basic legal skills for Legal Aid University. He is fluent in Korean. Before coming to LACCM, Young Soo interned at Greater Boston Legal Services and The Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights. Young Soo is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and the U.S. District of Massachusetts.
