Melissa Pomfred joined LACCM in 2007 as a staff attorney in the benefits unit, where she handles employment related issues, including discrimination, wrongful termination, and unemployment compensation claims.  Prior to joining LACCM, Melissa worked in private practice representing clients in litigation of employment issues, including discrimination and workers’ compensation.  While attending law school, Melissa spent a year as President of the Unemployment Action Center, where she coordinated the overall operation of an organization that provided free legal assistance to claimants in the unemployment process.  Before attending law school, she spent 4 years coordinating the education programs at Boston’s Homeless Services.  Melissa is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
