Anna Phillips rejoined LACCM in 2008 as a staff attorney. She specializes in landlord-tenant cases and works in LACCM’s general law unit, while also performing outreach to the Fitchburg area and its surrounding towns. Immediately prior to returning to LACCM, Anna owned and operated her law firm in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, focusing primarily on landlord/tenant and domestic relations matters. In her practice, Anna has successfully argued a child removal case to the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and she has litigation experience in many Massachusetts courts, including, housing, probate and family, district and superior courts. Previously, Anna worked as a staff attorney at the Massachusetts Justice Project in Worcester from 1997 to 2002, and LACCM in Fitchburg from 1991 to 1997.
As a law student, Anna interned with the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights of the Boston Bar, the law firm of Salsberg and Cunha, and the Law Office of Margaret Drew. Anna participated in Northeastern Law School’s Poverty Law Clinic as a student lawyer with Jamaica Plain Legal Services Center. Anna was awarded the distinguished senior award in sociology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
